HAPPY NEW YEAR to all of you!! Ring in the New Year in a big way and make 2015 all it can be!
With the coming of the new year, there a lot of changes that are happening with my artwork, photography, and business! Starting with a new name - Melissa Helene Fine Arts and Photography!
I'm super excited to spend 2015 building my business, honing my artistic and photographic skills, combining my love of nature and passion for artwork to educate myself + others and build awareness of important issues, and bring even more interesting content to all of you!
There is one project that I am MOST EXCITED about and that involves tons of new wildlife artwork, endangered species awareness, and fundraising for a cause. WATCH for more information coming in the next few months.
This is my very first video blog and I'm thrilled to share it with you. The video interview was conducted and created by RAW Minneapolis videographer Bryan Blumenschein, www.BryanBphoto.com, at the October 2014 showcase that I was humbled to be a part of. In the video, I share what my favorite part of my art is, my goals, and my passion.
I wanted to share this video on day 1 of 2015 because it reminds me of how far I have come since my very first art show (RAW - February 2014) and how much confidence I have gained through showing my work, putting myself out there for the world to see, and putting 100% of myself into this new business. Support and encouragement from all of you is what keeps me going on the toughest days and helps me remember to fight for my dream!
THANK YOU for supporting me and my work!
I want to end this post today with a quote that has motivated me during the planning process and will be my motto for 2015 (origin unknown, but I know I didn't make it up) - "You can work 8 hours for someone else, or be willing to work 16 hours for yourself!"
Here's to a successful 2015!
Cheers to you all. God bless!
